URUPLANTARA brings together an exciting trio of composer-performers: Ute Wassermann, Merche Blasco and Marina Cyrino.

The project investigates sonic affinities, mixtures and interactions of invented and expanded instruments, voice, DIY electronics, recordings, objects, household items, organic materials and elements – such as dried trees or the element of water. Acoustic & electronic, human & other-than-human sounds are interwoven into a speculative environment. In the process, sound affinities and mixtures are created among each other; in a figurative sense, humans become part of a complex and intelligent environment that encompasses the intelligence of plants, animals, machines and other-than-human materialities.
